Danny Ford is a writer, artist, educator and curator based in Brisbane. In 2009 he commenced his PhD research into the possibilities of new ways of collaboration between musicians and audiences in a relational network, in a project called Cassette Project. Alongside freelance writing his blog Shift Focus Without Warning is a location for his responses to locally presented exhibitions, performances and films. His studio-based practice is concerned with the implications of strategy and narrative, as well as the disparate quality of the potential to pay attention and its representation.
Before beginning his PhD candidacy in Media Arts at COFA Ford completed a Master of Visual Arts and has taught extensively in secondary and tertiary environments.
